860-680-8904 Ceremony blog

Winter has been fierce in Connecticut this year, but it did not stop a lovely couple from traveling all the way from sunny California, to cold and snowy Connecticut to get married in New England.  The ceremony was to take place at the beautiful Old State House in Hartford, but due to a blizzard all state buildings were closed.  After a couple phone calls, we found the staff at the Hartford Hilton were just a bunch of old romantics!  With less than 30 minutes notice the pulled together all the bells and whistles for a full candle lit wedding ceremony and we drove through the snow to make this ceremony happen!

Even with all the snow and craziness that is Winter in New England, Channa and Jesse are determined to come back next year to renew their vows and they sent me this terrific note:

Hi Elisa!

We would like to thank you for the time you have taken to make our ceremony so special. We really appreciate the work and thought you have put into the wording of the ceremony. Thank you also for your flexibility in meeting with us at the Hilton hotel downtown. We made it home safe on Saturday, but realize that Connecticut is snowed under and that you might not get this E-mail until later due to possible power outages.

We will definitely use your services next year in Massachusetts!

Channa and Jesse Kelly

Thank you for creating a ceremony that worked for our unique blend of cultures and was just right for our perspective. You listened and heard every detail we ever mentioned and wove them together seamlessly. How do you do that??
